Event Description:

Saint Paul’s Chief of Police has been in his role for one year now. Hear his perspective on his first year, and get answers to these questions: What is the impact of crime on business and how does our police force work with businesses on safety issues? How does the police department engage with the community? What efforts are they taking to diversify the police department?

During the hour we’ll also see a demonstration from the K-9 unit!

Saint Paul Police Chief Todd Axtell has served the citizens of Saint Paul for 28 years in patrol, investigative, and administrative assignments. In June 2016, he was appointed Chief of Police. Chief Axtell has a B.A. in criminal justice from Metropolitan State University and holds a Master’s Degree in police leadership, administration and education from the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He is a graduate of the 207th session of the FBI National Academy and the 47th session of the DEA’s Drug Unit Commanders’ Academy. Chief Axtell is a member of the Rotary Club of Saint Paul. He is a resident of Saint Paul and has two adult children.

The new Sunrise Bank headquarters is located near the intersection of Franklin and Curfew off of I 94 and Hwy 280. 

Coming from I 94:
- Take the 280 exit towards University/Franklin
- Turn left on Franklin
- Turn left on Curfew and take all the way to the dead end where Sunrise Banks is located

Going South on 280
- Take the exit toward Territorial Rd/University Ave from MN-280 S
- Merge onto N Eustis St
- Turn right on Franklin
- Turn left on Curfew and take all the way to the dead end where Sunrise Banks is located
