2024 Equity Leadership Series Kickoff: Skills-Based Hiring & Interviewing
Kick off the St. Paul Area Chamber's 2024 Equity Leadership Series, Presented by Bremer Bank, as we dive into key concepts and practices of skills-based hiring, specifically during the interview process. Allen Mavis of Goodwill-Easter Seals will present an engaging workshop that introduces the key concepts of Skills-Based Hiring, and will invite attendees to put the idea into practice.
We'll begin the day with coffee and pastries, get to know each other, and hear from our presenter - then we'll do some group work. Afterward, Allen will be available for questions and will offer additional events and resources if you'd like to deepen your learning.
Our program: 8:30-9 am - Registration, coffee and networking 9-10:30 am - Presentation and practice 10:30-11 am - Networking and QA with Allen available

About the Equity Leadership Series: Now in its 6th year, the St. Paul Area Chamber's Equity Leadership Series was born out of a commitment to transformational leadership that drives inclusive change within participants’ organizations.
Addressing inequities in any given organization requires acceptance and commitment by leadership, and understanding of those around you. At the St. Paul Area Chamber, we recognize the importance of promoting diversity of thought, culture, personal identity, lived experience and perspective with leaders to achieve a vibrant and economically successful future in the region. Our goal is that participants will leave each session with deeper understanding and questions to drive change and action.
This year's sessions will be a mix of timely and relevant workshops and presentations, and immersive experiences in and with cultural communities in the metro area. All are welcome; we do encourage multiple people from organizations to attend together so they can take learnings back to their workplaces and we also encourage the same people from each organization to attend all year, but we do allow substitutions.
Join us and be a part of making our region a leader in the nation as a champion of equity!
